this book is about: - Book is a culmination of discussions held between a
bed-ridden professor and his student on wide variety of topics relating to
human behaviour and world.. The book starts with Author stumbling upon a
television interview featuring his ailing professor Morrie who had been
diagnosed with amytropic lateral sclerosis (ALS) Seeing the condition
of his mentor, Author reaches out and reconnects with his professor to initiate
a series of meetings at his home.
Every
Tuesday Author visited his mentor and discussed at length on topics pertaining
to human behaviour like love, forgiveness, death, marriage and importance of
good relationships. Irrespective of his deteriorating physical condition,
Morrie remained in high spirits and he shared his thoughts and wisdom to lot
many people who approached him Book is in a same league of famous
Bollywood movie Anand starring Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan in lead
roles.
The
discussion with Morrie on wide variety of topics helped Author change his
perception from materialistic success to personal enrichment, With these
discussions, he developed a greater sense of appreciation towards the simple
joys of life. Through these Tuesday meetings, Morrie shared his thoughts and
wisdom he experience throughout his life. With Morrie’s teaching , Author could
able to realize the importance of family relations, love, compassion, and
forgiveness.
After
Morrie's death, Author was left with wisdom of ocean about love,
compassion and importance of giving. He shared the wisdom
of Morrie in the form of book "Tuesdays with Morrie," which later
becomes a bestseller, healing the lives of millions of readers

an excellent read which shifts the perception of person from being materialistic
to a giver one.
