These 18 letters provide a brilliant insight about the thoughts of Bhagat Singh about various aspects of life. The book covers the main topic why he was atheist in the form of essay, which he has written in Lahore central jail in 1930 in response to his religious friends who presumed that he had turned atheist because of vanity. At the age of 23, he explained his view about being atheist in a lucid way. Some of the other interesting letters included his letter to Shaheed Sukhdev, Demands for political prisoners, why he refused to attend the court, letter to young political workers etc. He lays extreme importance of education in the path of revolution. He stated that greatest sin in this world is to be poor.
